The oldest of the Cheviot funeral homes, our facility is conveniently located directly off Harrison Avenue on the west side of Cincinnati. 26 years after Joe Vitt and John Stermer began their funeral business, they purchased the current location in Cheviot from Fred Wabler in 1925. Today, the building retains much of its historic charm, providing a beautiful setting for services. Our funeral home in Cheviot contains a comfortable chapel and reception area for the families we serve in Cheviot, Westwood, Delhi and surrounding areas to use for their services.
As a full-service funeral home in Cheviot, we offer funeral, burial, memorial, and cremation services. In addition to helping families find the right cremation provider, our staff will help your family plan a service to honor your loved one, whether the service comes before or after the cremation. For those families who do choose cremation, our Cheviot funeral home offers a variety of urn choices as well as other containers for loved ones’ cremated remains.
We are honored to have served the families of west Cincinnati since 1899, and we continue to feel grateful for the opportunity we have to connect with the families of our community every day. As a Cincinnati-based funeral home, many of our compassionate staff members are native residents of the area who enjoy many of the same activities as the families we serve. It would not be unusual to run into them at your local church service, grocery store, or a local hot spot like Giovanni’s Family Italian Restaurant. We enjoy serving the people who we live and work with in such a kind and supportive community. Please contact us to learn more about our funeral home in Cheviot, Ohio.
