Allen Leroy Shaffer, born on April 14, 1948, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family, faith, and community.

Allen was the beloved son of the late Leroy and Alberta Shaffer. He was a proud graduate of Corter Tech, class of 1966, where he laid the foundation for a life rich in achievement and character. Following his education, Allen served his country honorably in the United States Navy, displaying the same spirit of dedication that would become his lifelong hallmark.

For over fifty years, Allen was a cherished member in good standing of the Anderson Ferry Church of Christ. His unwavering faith and gentle kindness touched the lives of many within his congregation and beyond. Allen’s presence at the church was steadfast, always offering a supportive word or a helping hand to those in need.

Allen was well-known for his passions and hobbies, particularly his love for attending auctions and collecting treasures. These pursuits were not merely pastimes but expressions of his curiosity and appreciation for life’s unique stories, always fueling engaging conversations with friends and family.

Allen’s memory will be treasured by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Judy Morano, and her husband Steve; his nieces, Angela Hayward, Danyelle (Jesse) Burger, and Demee Hayward; his nephews, Mark (Michelle) Morano and Chase Goodwin Morano. Allen's extended family includes his cousins Ricky Webb, Linda (Harold) Tutt, and Barbara (Andy) Hoernschmeyer, all of whom shared many cherished moments with him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Alberta Shaffer, whose guidance and love shaped Allen into the man so dearly remembered today.

Family and friends are invited to honor Allen’s life at the visitation to be held on July 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Those who knew Allen will remember his unwavering loyalty, his warm and personable nature, his commitment to faith, and his joy for collecting life’s treasures—both material and relational. Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
