Angela R. Gottmann

February 13, 1942 — September 20, 2025

Angela R. Gottmann, was born on February 13, 1942, peacefully left this world on September 20, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was a cherished matriarch whose gentle spirit and warm smile and laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Angie's life was beautifully intertwined with that of her beloved late husband, Gerald "Jerry" Gottmann for 56 years. They shared a loving partnership that inspired everyone around them. Angie's legacy will live on through her children: Daniel (Becca) Gottmann, Donald (Sheri) Gottmann, Deborah (Mark) Giffin, Diane Nichols, and Denise (Patrick) Burns. Angie was the proud daughter of the late Joseph and Jennie Favazza, and is preceded by her sisters Vicky (John) Coe and Joan (Tom-living) Clark. Angie will be remembered fondly by her brother, Salvatore (Judy) Favazza.

Throughout her life, Angie embraced her passions with enthusiasm. She always greeted each person she met by their first name, a reflection of her genuine spirit and love for connection. She was an avid gardener, who had a deep love for flowers and birds, often delighting in sharing her botanical knowledge and the beauty of her garden with friends and family. Her proficiency extended to knowing the Latin names of all her cherished flowers, a testament to her dedication and love for nature. Angie never missed praying the rosary daily.

Angie's interests also included a fondness for scary movies, PBS British shows, documentaries, and engaging in the intellectual challenges of Scrabble and crossword puzzles. Yet, above all, her heart was filled with love for her family. She was a devoted grandmother to 14 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 34 great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

A visitation will be held in her honor on September 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at St. Dominic Church (Gathering Space) located at 4551 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.
