Aristea “Artie” Argeros, a beloved daughter, aunt and friend passed away on May 17, 2026 with loved ones by her side.
Artie was born on December 26, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She is survived by her sisters, Katherine Argeros and Aphrodite (Richard) Moraites and her five nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Mary Argeros (Koundouris).
Artie was responsible, honest and trustworthy. She was the first female member of the Parish Council at the Holy Trinity-St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, Ohio as well as a financial officer for the Panegyri at the church for many years. She traveled the world throughout her life visiting many countries - often bringing back treasures for her beloved nieces and nephews, who were the true lights of her life. Family was everything to Artie whose best friends were her sisters. She delighted in caring for her dogs, Jesse and Missi, who brought her so much joy.
Though imagining life without her seems impossible - our faith allows the belief that we will be together again.
Visitation will be Friday, May 29th, 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 7000 Winton Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45224.
