Berdena Giesseman
Age 76, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 due to a massive brain bleed. She was born October 14, 1941 to the late Robert and Ruby Waugh. She was the loving mother of Melissa (Fred) Farnsley and Rici (Lindsay Perry) Giesseman; grandmother of Tyler (Bethany Glunt) Miller, Jacob Farnsley, Josh (Tara) Fishwild, Heather (Andy) Engle, and James Giesseman; great-grandmother of 5; sister of Millie (Don) Bowles, Marge (Bill) McCarthy, John R. (Margie) Waugh, James Waugh and Peggy Shanks; aunt of many nieces and nephews, former mother-in-law to Michael (Kim) Miller and Tawyna (Dan Pruitt) Giesseman; and countless friends and extended family. She was retired from Wilberforce University, spent many years as an officer in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, and enjoyed knitting. A celebration of her life will be held August 6th 11AM at Northside Christian Church 733 Country Club Drive, Xenia, OH 45385 followed by a luncheon at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greyhound A.G.C. (CinciGreyhounds.org) or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan.org). www.vittstermeranderson.com
