Carl R. Teeters, a devoted woodworker, cherished family man, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 5, 1936, in Cincinnati, Carl laid down roots that would flourish into a rich tapestry of life experiences and cherished memories.
Carl's career was marked by his craft as a woodworker at the Wittrock Wood Working and Manufacturing Company, where he dedicated himself to his passion for creating fine wood projects. His hands crafted not just items of beauty but pieces that carried stories and warmth, much like the man himself.
He was a proud graduate of Central High School, where he undoubtedly began forming the traits that defined him later in life. Carl was known for his calm demeanor and patient nature, complemented by a warm heart and a good sense of humor. He embraced joy and spread laughter wherever he went.
Family was at the core of Carl's life. He was the loving husband of Patricia Teeters for 34 wonderful years. Together, they created a home filled with love and laughter. As a father, he cared deeply for his daughters Amy (Derek) Mizer, Carmen (John Moore) Ramirez, and Andrea (late-Tom Lindsey) Mink, instilling in them the values of kindness and perseverance. His role as a grandfather, he enjoyed fostering memories.
Carl had a wide array of interests outside of work. He reveled in sports, playing chess, enjoyed reading, and had a particular passion for trivia. His mind was as active as his hands, and he often engaged those around him with fascinating facts and engaging conversations.
In his leisure time, Carl cherished moments spent with his wife Pat, particularly during vacations to Hawaii and the Caribbean, where laughter and lasting memories were shared. He took great pride in his accomplishments, including participation in gymnastics competitions and bowling tournaments, testaments to his spirited and competitive nature.
Carl's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Minnie Teeters, and his brothers Joseph Jr., Robert, Charles, and Elmer, as well as his sister Gloria. While their absence is felt keenly, the memories of time spent together will forever resonate in the stories shared and the lives he touched.
Carl R. Teeters will be remembered not only for his skills as a craftsman but for the love he shared and the warmth he brought into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to inspire all who carry his memory forward.
