Carol Ann Turner

Carol Ann Turner, née Maichle, whose journey began on June 24, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed from this life on August 2, 2026. With her departure, a light has dimmed in the world, though her memory and the multitude of lives she touched will continue to illuminate hearts for generations to come.

Born to William and Loretta Maichle, both of whom preceded her in death, Carol’s early years were shaped by the values of kindness, perseverance, and community spirit that marked her roots in Cincinnati. She embodied these traits throughout every chapter of her life. Carol’s academic promise was evident even as a young woman when she graduated as part of the St. Xavier Commercial School, Class of 1960. Her time there laid the foundation for both her lifelong friendships and the professional integrity that defined her career.

Carol embarked on a distinguished path with Western & Southern Life Insurance as well as Hamilton County Job and Family Services, where her leadership and compassion set her apart as a Supervisor. There, she proved to be much more than a dedicated employee—she was a mentor, a confidant, and a force for good. Her work touched countless families in the community, leaving an enduring legacy of service and generosity.

The joys of Carol’s life extended far beyond her professional achievements. She built a loving family alongside her beloved husband, Jim Turner, whose memory remains cherished though he preceded her in death. Together, they raised two devoted children: Tim (Karen) Turner and Kim Turner, who carry forward their mother’s warmth and integrity. Carol’s legacy finds its truest expression in her grandchildren—Sydney (Chase) Peasley, Shelby (George Tidswell) Turner, and Sarah Turner—and in her great-grandchild, Owen Peasley. Each was a source of immense pride and joy, and in their laughter, accomplishments, and affection, Carol found her greatest happiness.

Carol’s life was also richly embroidered with her love of music and community. She delighted in evenings at Jim and Jacks, reveling in the energetic performances of Mike Davis as Elvis and other musicians who transported audiences to lighter times. These moments of shared joy, camaraderie, and song became treasured traditions. The excitement of going on Mike Davis’s bus trips imbued Carol’s days with a sense of adventure, connecting her with friends old and new.

Carol’s presence was a blessing, her love immeasurable, and her memory a vivid tapestry woven into the hearts of all who knew her. The story she wrote through her deeds and relationships is one to be celebrated, recalled with fondness, and aspired to by those she leaves behind.
