Carol A. McKinnon, born on February 7, 1940, peacefully transitioned from this life on December 16, 2025. Carol was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and culinary talents will be remembered by many.
Throughout her life, Carol dedicated herself to raising six children: Debbie (the late Ron) Davis, Stanley Claypoole, Donald McKinnon, Carol (James) Weber, and David McKinnon. In addition to her role as a mother, she took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Aaron, Lori, Stanley, Jonathan, Daryn, David, and Josh, and as a great-grandmother to Jordan, Alex, Sydney, and Owen. Her love for family was evident in everything she did, particularly in her passion for cooking, where she loved to feed anyone who needed a meal.
Carol had a lively spirit and enjoyed spending precious moments with her grandchildren, creating memories that will last a lifetime. She also indulged in her love of shopping, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
She is survived by her siblings, Tom (Sharon) Martin and Janet (Ed) Braemer, along with many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
Carol was preceded in death by her husbands, Stanley Claypoole and Donald McKinnon, her son William Claypoole, and her parents Fred and Dorothy Martin, and her siblings, Fred (June) Martin and Jim (Dolly, living) Martin.
A visitation to her honor will take place at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238, on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 20 at 11 AM at the funeral home.
Carol A. McKinnon lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family, leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
