Carole H. Beck, a woman whose life was a testament to her faith, generosity, and devotion to family, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born on April 21, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carole's journey was deeply rooted in her family and long-lasting friendships.
A proud graduate of Mother of Mercy High School, Class of 1956, Carole worked as a secretary at Procter and Gamble until just before her oldest son was born and she changed her focus to raising her three children with her husband Jack. When her children were older, she held clerical positions, first for State Farm and later for Hamilton County. After her retirement, she was a long standing volunteer for the local Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.
Carole's heart beat strongest for her family. She was the devoted mother of Jim (Sherry) Beck, the late Michael (Cindy) Beck and Terri (Tom) Zimmerman. Her legacy lives vibrantly through her grandchildren — Jim, John (Sarah), Chrissy (Brian), the late Megan, Dan (Brittany), Nicole (Daniel), Chris, Drew, Andy (Emily), Jeff (Chelsea), and Katie, and her great-grandchildren — Eric, Andrew, Nick, Jacob, Mady, Brad, Danielle (Kyle), Emma, Sully, Evie, Weller, Finn, Elise, Elaina, and Hallie — as well as great-great-grandchildren Bella, Hudson, Jack, and Reese. She was a beloved sister to Sharon (Glen) Walters, Cathy (Dan) Johnston, and Bonnie (Tony) Korbar, as well as a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
With her passing she was reunited in heaven with her late husband John “Jack” Beck, to whom she was married for over 45 years, as well as her sisters Jean Anne (George) Barsan and Simone (Don) Hildebrand, and in-laws Elaine (Robert) Walsh, Leo (Marie) Beck, and Bob (Rita) Beck. She was also preceded in death by her father Harry Hemsath, her step-mother Wilma Hemsath, and her mother Dorothy Hemsath Reiring. She deeply mourned the loss of her son Michael Beck and granddaughter Megan Beck, and is now overjoyed to hold them close again in heaven.
Carole delighted in watching her children and grandchildren participate in sporting events, dance recitals, school programs, plays, and art shows. She attended numerous games and meets to cheer on her grandchildren playing for Elder, Seton, and Oak Hills High Schools. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and she enjoyed attending XU basketball games with her beloved sister, Jean Anne. She was a member of the Rosie Reds and the Musketeer Club. Alongside these passions, Carole expressed her creative spirit through sewing dresses, quilts, and costumes, embroidering baby blankets, and making personalized greeting cards with friends. She also had a special bond with her dogs who provided faithful companionship over the years and will certainly greet her on the rainbow bridge.
Known for her generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family, Carole’s proudest accomplishment was the rich, loving family she and Jack built and cherished. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love, faith, service, generosity, and creativity. She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends and will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her.
