Donna Sue Cook, née Brinker, passed away on May 18, 2026, leaving a legacy of warmth, dedication, and family devotion. Born on January 10, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Donna lived a life marked by a friendly spirit and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Donna’s life journey began in Cincinnati, where she attended Western Hills High School, laying the foundation for her future endeavors and the values she carried throughout her life. She built a career as a cashier at Jersey Mikes Subs, known by colleagues and customers alike for her kindness and cheerful demeanor.
Her heart was always with her family, an aspect of life she cherished above all else. Donna was the beloved wife of Steve Cook Sr., sharing over 54 years of marriage filled with love and partnership. As a mother, she guided and supported her children—Steve (Cindy) Cook, Sally (David) Denwett, Sara (Jason) Moses, and Sue (Denny) Moses—instilling in them the values she held dear. Her pride was most evident when surrounded by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she supported wholeheartedly, always ready to lend a helping hand and a nurturing presence.
Donna was also a treasured sister to Bobby (Chris) Brinker and Joe (Terry) Brinker, and a loving mother-in-law to Karen Brinker. She was an aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, a role she embraced with joy and generosity. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Alice Brinker, and her brother, Richard Brinker.
Outside of her familial commitments, Donna found joy in a variety of interests. She was an enthusiastic follower of NASCAR racing, enjoyed fishing, and found many happy moments on the bowling lanes. These hobbies brought her delight and relaxation, complementing the busy and devoted life she led.
Her proudest accomplishments were, by far, her family. Donna’s life was one of service and care, and those closest to her remember her as a friendly, steadfast presence and a pillar of support in their lives.
Donna Sue Cook’s legacy is one of love, friendliness, and immeasurable dedication to family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and were fortunate to experience her kindness and love. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and extended family.
