Elaine Mary (nee Peters) Binder, born October 10, 1936, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and selfless service.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Binder; her sister, Janet Gramza; and her brother, Robert Peters.
She was a devoted mother to David Binder, Don (Rena Nance) Binder, Diane (Rick) Segers, Denise (Pat) Murray, and Debbi (Brett) Papenhagen. Nothing brought Elaine greater joy than her family. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Alison (Jacob), Eric, Craig (Ashley), Jeff (Megan), Andy, Leah, Logan, Erin (Ryan), Ryan (Jessica), Kristin, Tate, Evie, and Mack, and a loving great-grandmother to Madison, Melanie, Jack, Bennett, and Mason.
Elaine's Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. A lifelong member of her parish, she lived her beliefs through quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and service to others. She was active in numerous ministries and organizations throughout the years, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her unwavering faith was reflected in the way she loved her family, welcomed friends, and served her community.
Those who knew Elaine will remember her gentle spirit, warm smile, generous heart, and steadfast devotion to those she loved. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love, where family traditions were cherished and lifelong memories were made.
Elaine's life was a beautiful example of grace, compassion, and faithfulness. While her family mourns her passing, they also celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the countless lives she touched. Her legacy will continue through the family she cherished, the faith she lived, and the love she shared so freely.
Visitation: July 20, 2026, 9:00–9:45 a.m. at St. Dominic Church (Gathering Space), 4551 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Elaine's memory.
