Elizabeth A. "Betty" Panzeca, born on June 16, 1935, was a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her family and community. She left this world on August 10, 2025, at the age of 90. Betty is survived by her adoring children, Mary Ann (Bob Cooke) Panzeca, Frank (Linda) Panzeca, Angie (Tom) Stephenson, Jenny (Joe Behler) Panzeca, Chris (Dawn) Panzeca, and Scott (Jen) Panzeca. Each of her children carries forward her legacy of love, kindness, and support, which she generously shared throughout her life.
Betty’s warmth and care extended beyond her immediate family to her grandchildren, who were a significant part of her life. She leaves behind a litany of grandchildren: Michael, Jeff (Libby), Andrea (Andy), Matt (Amanda), Steven, Brandon (Alicia), Heather (Paul), Emily (Steven), Christopher, Nicole, Zachary, and Lizzie (Calvin). Her treasured great-grandchildren include Avery, Leo, Madison, Jack, Lincoln, Eli, Harper, Henry, Ethan, Zach, Olivia, Haydn, and Chloe, who brought her immense joy and pride.
A devoted wife, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Panzeca, whose memory she cherished. Betty was also preceded by her parents, Herman and Anna Skaret, along with her siblings, Mary (Bob) Lechner and Jeanne (Bill) Doten, and a nephew Steve Kampen with whom she shared many fond memories.
Betty’s life was rich with passions that included knitting, reading, and engaging in word games, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She was an enthusiastic card player and a proud sports fan, particularly a devoted supporter of the Cincinnati Reds. Her spirit as a second mom to many shows her immense capacity for love and nurturing, as she dedicated herself to supporting her grandkids in various extracurricular activities.
Family and friends will gather to honor her memory during the visitation scheduled for August 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. A Mass in her honor will follow the next day, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Church, also in Cincinnati.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Dominic Education Fund.
Betty Panzeca’s legacy of love, dedication, and support will eternally resonate with her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves a profound impact and will be deeply missed.
