Helen J. Ferguson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on January 25, 1932, Helen lived a full life, marked by her unwavering love for family and her passionate pursuits.
A spirited individual, Helen delighted in the simple joys of life. She had a particular fondness for watching the Cincinnati Reds play at the ballpark, where she shared numerous joyful moments with her loved ones. Travel was another cherished aspect of her life, as she embraced new experiences and adventures, venturing beyond her familiar surroundings to create lasting memories. Her dedication to maintaining her appearance included regular trips to the salon, where she enjoyed getting her hair done, reflecting the care she took in presenting herself to the world.
Throughout her years, Helen continued to engage in activities that brought her joy and camaraderie. Even into her 90s, she relished playing bridge, showcasing her competitive spirit and her love for connection with others. Helen's generous heart and loving nature endeared her to family and friends alike, as she consistently put the needs of her loved ones before her own.
Helen is survived by her devoted children: Linda Ferguson, Carolynn (Joe) Kelley, Cary (the late Vickie) Ferguson, and Sharon (Jeff) Marsh. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Richard (Rika), Britta (Garrett), Lacey, Erin (Corey), Megan, and Anna. In addition to her many roles, she took great pride in being a great-grandmother, leaving a lasting impact on Beckett, Theo, and Thatcher.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ferguson, who remains in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A service celebrating her life will take place at Greenhills Community Church Presbyterian, 21 Cromwell Rd. Greenhills (45218) on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 1 PM. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Cincinnati or The Cincinnati Reds Community Fund.
Helen J. Ferguson will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the vibrant spirit she brought into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her sunshine will continue to shine in the memories she created, and her spirit will live on in the love she shared with her family.
