Henry J. Wackerman

Henry J. Wackerman, born on December 23, 1937, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026. A man of profound faith and unwavering devotion, Henry was a beloved husband, a committed member of his church community, and a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him.

For the last two decades, Henry and his wife of 53 years, Doris Wackerman (nee Blessing), made their home in Las Vegas, where he was deeply involved in numerous aspects of church life. His dedication to his faith was evident not only through his active participation in OCIA but also through his service as a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Henry's spirit of service extended beyond formal roles; he was a consistent and enthusiastic contributor to the many ministries and outreach programs that enriched his church community.

Henry found great joy and relaxation in playing golf, a pastime that balanced his busy schedule and allowed him to connect with friends and fellow congregants. Equally dear to his heart were his beloved dogs—Alexander Hamilton, Mr. Kaiser, and Winston—who were constant companions and sources of comfort throughout his life.

Henry’s family ties were a cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his devoted wife Doris, with whom he shared more than five decades of companionship and love. His role as an uncle was treasured by Karen, Mary, Kyle, Laura, and Patricia, each of whom held him in warm regard. He was also a respected brother-in-law to Elaine (Bob) Murphy, Paul (Mary) Blessing, Viv (Bill) Schulter, Sheila (Dave) McAdams, and Jan (late Michael) Wirthlin. The extended family also includes many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry “Henni” and Mary Josephine “Jo” Wackerman, and his siblings Kathryn (Larry) Coppelman and Ann (Pat) O’Connor. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know Henry.

Throughout his life, Henry J. Wackerman exemplified a faith-centered existence dedicated to love, service, and community. His enduring spirit and genuine care for others leave a lasting impression on all who encountered him. He will be remembered with deep respect and affection by his family, friends, and church family alike.

Services for Henry will be Monday, May 18, 2026 from 10 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Margaret of York, 9499 Columbia Rd, Loveland, Oh 45140.
