Iola G. Williams

Iola G. Williams, born on December 13, 1939, peacefully passed away on August 10, 2025. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Iola leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was the beloved mother of John (Darlene) Williams, Ken (Patricia) Williams, and Linda (Larry) Carney. Loving grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Iola was predeceased by her husband, John C. Williams Sr., and two of her children, Joseph (survived by Theresa) and Rosetta (survived by Dan). She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Mae, Sophie, and Larry.

Iola possessed a vibrant personality that shone through her passions for quilting, needle work, crocheting, and diamond work. Her love for flowers mirrored her own vibrant spirit, and she often found joy in the beauty of nature. A lover of travel, Iola frequently journeyed to spend time with her family, sharing countless cherished moments together. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren, with whom she eagerly spent time, creating an abundance of precious memories.

The visitation for Iola G. Williams will take place at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 15, 2025, starting at 11:30 AM and concluding at 1:30 PM.  We will follow to Spring Grove Cemetery for her burial.
