Jaclyn A. Kahny

December 22, 1932 — April 27, 2025

Delhi Township.

Jaclyn A. Kahny, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on December 22, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, to Guy and Pauline Hix.

Jaclyn was known for her feisty spirit, caring nature, and loving disposition. She dedicated her life to her family, working alongside her husband, Donald Kahny, to raise their children. They shared 71 beautiful years as partners in life, firmly building a family that not only thrived in love but also in shared values and lifelong memories.

Jaclyn was a devoted wife to the late Donald Kahny, and survived by her children: Mark (Donna) Kahny, Donald (Lisa) Kahny Jr., Lisa (Len) Slye, Sheila (Gerry) Wolfer, and Christina (Ed) Cain. She took great joy in her role as grandmother to Adam (Laura), Jacob, Brett (Erin), Tony (Liz), Aaron, Brian (Corinne), Meghan, Mandy (Nick), Lauren (Alex), Allison, Dustin (Kelly), Zack (Maria), Johanna, Ben (Colby), and Chloe (Ian). Furthermore, Jaclyn was a proud great-grandmother, showering love upon Cheyenne, Jackson, Landen, Elliot, Caden, Dakota, Payten, Sammy, Joshua, Charlotte, Presley, Dax, Raelyn, Jude, Everett, Nora, Miles, Hunter, Sophia, Rhett, Mackenzie, Crosley, Mazie, Charlie, Quincy, Oliver, Zoey, and great-great-grandmother of Weston. She also cherished her step-grandchildren, Alesha (Scott) and extended family, including step-great-grandchildren Owen and Jessica (Josh) and step-great-great-grandchildren Micheal, Isaiah, Asher, and Rebekah.

Jaclyn was the sister of Barbara Rigney and Carl (Martha) Hix. She was preceded in death by her siblings Jean Maxwell and Guy Hix Jr., whose memories she carried with love.

Professionally, Jaclyn made a difference in her community as a crossing guard for Oak Hills Schools, demonstrating her commitment to the safety and well-being of children and families.

Her passion extended beyond her work as she engaged in a variety of hobbies, including gardening and dancing. She found joy in line dancing and square dancing, and her musical spirit shone brightly as a member of the St. Dominic Church Choir. Jaclyn also enjoyed playing cards, a pastime that brought her together with friends and family.
