Janet M. Creager, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on December 19, 2025, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity. Born with a remarkable spirit, Janet touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A passionate knitter and avid reader, Janet was known for her beautiful knitted baby blankets that brought warmth and comfort to many. Her creative talents were matched only by her generosity of heart. Janet was deeply active with her church group, where her spiritual nature shone brightly. She not only nurtured her faith but also extended her warmth and kindness to those around her.
Janet took great joy in hosting family and friends, often filling her home with laughter and loving conversations. Her deep affection for her pets further exemplified her gentle spirit and capacity for love. She was a constant source of support and joy to many, ensuring that every gathering was filled with warmth and the comfort of companionship.
She is survived by her beloved sister, Martha Holmes, and nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. They include Steve Creager, Mike Creager, Susan (Mel) Brownsberger, David (Catherine) Creager, Tom Creager, Janet (Paul) Foster, Pete (Allison Goulet-Speidel) Creager, Michele (Randy) Bernhardt, Becky Wiethorn, and Doug (Valerie) Holmes, many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Each of them have their own unique and fond memories of Janet, reflecting the love she so generously offered.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marguerite Creager, her brother, Joe (Anita) Creager, and her nephew, Paul Creager. Their memories will surely serve as a reminder of the strong family bonds and the love that Janet dedicated to nurturing throughout her life.
A visitation in Janet’s honor will take place on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Bayley located at 990 Bayley Place Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45233. Following the visitation, a Mass will be held starting at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Bayley.
