John Jack L. Meyer

Jack Meyer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on February 1, 1952, Jack lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his dedication to his family and his lifelong career in demolition.

For an impressive 47 years, Jack worked at O'Rourke Wrecking Company, where he became known not just for his skill in the field but also for his great sense of humor and ability to entertain those around him. His infectious laughter and love for good company made him a cherished figure among colleagues and friends alike. Outside of work, Jack enjoyed tending to his lawn, working on cars, and hosting gatherings where he took great pleasure in buying drinks for everyone, ensuring that all felt welcomed and appreciated. Jack was a proud graduate of Elder High School Class of 1970.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Luanne Meyer, who shared in the joys and challenges of life together. He is the proud father of two children: Renee Meyer (Art Mooney), and Jack Meyer (Elizabeth Kohus). Jack's legacy continues through his three grandchildren, Grant, Stella, and Ruby, who brought him immense joy and happiness throughout his life.

He is also survived by his siblings, Jan (Steve) Bill and June (James Dean) Feirl, who will forever hold dear the memories they created together. Jack's lovable furry companions, Zeeva and Abby, brought warmth and companionship to his days, standing by his side as loyal friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Joan Meyer, and his brother, Jay Meyer, both of whom he missed dearly throughout his life. Additionally, he leaves behind the mother of his children, Vicki Teaster.

Family will greet friends Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 12 Noon util time of sharing at 2 PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd.  Memorials may be made in his name to https://www.heart.org/en/affiliates/ohio/ (Cincinnati Metro, 5211 Madison Rd. 45227) or Christ Hospital- Heart and Vascular Service.

As we remember Jack Meyer, we celebrate a man whose laughter, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of many. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
