Joseph M. "Joey" Bessler, a bright light in the lives of many, was born on May 10, 1992, and entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2026, surrounded by his parents and sister. He was known as the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went. Joey had a vibrant personality that captivated those around him, embodying an avid enthusiasm for sports and a playful spirit that enjoyed building elaborate Lego creations.
A devoted father, Joey treasured the time spent playing with his beloved son, Julian, and cherished the moments shared with his nephews, Beckett and Ford. His love of swimming was matched only by his enjoyment of hanging out with friends, illustrating his passion for connection and companionship.
Joey is survived by his parents, Mike and Mary Bessler, his son, Julian, his sister, Jenni (Logan) Faulconer and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves behind not only family but also a multitude of friends who will miss his infectious energy and sunny disposition.
Preceded in death by numerous family members, Joey’s legacy of love, laughter, and joyful moments will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit will forever be remembered and celebrated by those he touched with his kindness and vivacity.
Family will greet friends, Monday, March 2nd from 5-8PM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 3rd at 10 AM at St. Dominic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to his son Julian Bessler's Education Fund c/o any 5/3 Bank or Queen City Hospice.
