Listen to Obituary

With profound sadness and heartfelt reverence, we announce the passing of Judith M. Luebbe, known fondly as Judy, who departed this life on June 1, 2026. Born on September 9, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Judy’s journey was marked by unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and a spirit of loving care that touched all who knew her.

Judy’s early years blossomed in the heart of Cincinnati, where she graduated from Seton High School in the Class of 1971. She pursued higher education at the University of Cincinnati, earning both her bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Speech Pathology. These academic achievements laid the foundation for a distinguished career devoted to nurturing young minds and championing the power of communication.

For over three decades, Judy dedicated herself to Cincinnati Public Schools, profoundly impacting the lives of countless students with her expertise and compassion. Prior to that commendable tenure, she lent her talents for more than five years at Redwood School in Northern Kentucky. Throughout her professional life, Judy was celebrated not only for her skill and professionalism but for the genuine concern she held for her students—a reflection of her deeply caring nature.

Beyond her vocational accomplishments, Judy treasured the moments spent traveling the world with her beloved mother, an experience that brought her immense joy and enriched her life. An avid crocheter and knitter, she found solace and creativity in her crafts and cherished assembling intricate jigsaw puzzles, avid Cincinnati Reds fan, pursuits that mirrored her patient and thoughtful character.

Judy’s personality was marked by a quiet independence and an enduring affection for her family. She was especially devoted to her nieces and nephews, whom she loved deeply and supported with tenderness and warmth. Family gatherings, particularly holiday celebrations, were a source of happy memories and joy for her, underscoring the importance she placed on familial bonds.

Her proudest accomplishments extended beyond her career to the compassionate care she provided her mother following the passing of her father, reflecting her steadfast commitment and selfless love.

Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Teresa Luebbe, and sister to the late Carol (Jim) Nieberding and Ruth (Bob) Holiday. She is survived by her cherished sisters Joan (Tom) Peters, Judy Webber, and sister-in-law Sandy (the late John) Luebbe, Arlene (the late Tom) Luebbe, Jane (the late Jim) Luebbe. She also leaves behind numerous devoted nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
