Marian T. Jacobs

September 19, 1932 — August 29, 2025

Marian T. Jacobs, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on September 19, 1932, Marian filled her years with love, laughter, and a passion for life that was truly contagious.

Marian was a devoted wife just shy of 70 years, to her husband, Michael Jacobs, with whom she shared many cherished moments. Together, they built a warm and welcoming home where family was the highest priority. Her children, Diane (Ray) Gerdes, Steve (Amy) Jacobs, and Dan (Jennie) Jacobs, were fortunate to have such a caring and supportive mother. She took immense pride in watching her family grow, nurturing the unique talents of each of her grandchildren—Andy (Julie), Allison, Emily (Nik), Rob, Ashley (Jesse), Amanda (Ben), Matthew, Brad, Katie, and Danielle. Her legacy continues through her five great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Kate, Ryan, Owen, and Lucas, who brought her endless joy.

Marian was known for her vibrant personality and her myriad of interests. She had a particular fondness for chocolate-covered cherries and enjoyed sipping on a glass of Chardonnay. In her free time, she engaged in activities that brought her happiness; she loved sewing, gardening, golfing, playing tennis, and even ironing. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Parish for 67 years where she volunteered her time and talents.  She also volunteered at Tender Mercies every month for 25 years where they made and served lunch.

Marian is also remembered for her close-knit family ties. She is survived by her sister, JoAnn (Gene) Allspach, who together shared memories that will remain treasured. Although she faced the loss of her parents, Joseph and Emma Damme, she carried their love and wisdom with her throughout her life. She also mourned the passing of her son, Mark (Linda-living) Jacobs, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Jacobs, as well as her brother Richard (Joan-living) Thiem.

A visitation in her honor will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home in Delhi, Cincinnati, OH. Following this, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Victory Church 810 Neeb Rd., at 11:00 AM.  Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory, Elder High School and St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Marian's spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have been part of her life.
