Mark E. Bales, aged 44, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024. Born on December 1, 1979, Mark was a dedicated individual who spent his professional career at Fifth Third Bank, contributing to the financial well-being of many.
He laid a solid educational foundation at St. William and Elder High School, where he was well-regarded by his peers and educators alike. Mark’s personality shone through in every aspect of his life; he was known for his loving and kind nature and was always willing to do anything for anyone in need. His warm spirit and selflessness touched the lives of many and will be fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to know him.
Outside of his professional commitments, Mark had a variety of passions and hobbies that highlighted his zest for life. He found joy in visiting Las Vegas, where he enjoyed Black Jack and Slots. His creative side was evident in his interest in remodeling houses and working on cars, activities that brought him great satisfaction and allowed him to develop lasting skills.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Bales; his mother, Judy Bales; his siblings Pam Couch, Tommy Collini, and Theresa Collini; his mother-in-law, Bev Ferguson; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Collini. He also leaves behind many other family members who adored him, including his uncles David (Sandy) Bales, Robert (Nancy) Nichols, and Rose (Bob) McWhorter. He was a caring uncle to Carissa, Kayne (Lauren), Laura, Kelly, Sara, Kassidy, Andy, Tony, and TJ, as well as a proud great-uncle to Everly Grace. Mark’s beloved cat, Laila, will also miss the comfort of his presence.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Frank Bales; his father-in-law, Bill Ferguson; his brother, Joey Collini; and his sister-in-law, Anita Collini. He was also preceded by his uncle, Barry Hill.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at St. William Church from 9:30AM until time of funeral mass at 11AM.
Mark E. Bales leaves a legacy of kindness and love that will resonate in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who carry his memory forward.
