Mark R. Jacobs

Mark R. Jacobs, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 69. He was born on May 27, 1956, and dedicated much of his life to both his family and his career.

For the majority of his career, Mark was an employee at Zimmer Power Station. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his professional life.

Mark's love for music shone brightly throughout his years. He played the trumpet in the Elder Band during his high school years, where he developed a passion that would accompany him through life. His first band out of high school was Saturday Night Limited and he participated in several other bands including Special Guest. His musical talents extended beyond performance; he contributed his skills by running sound for various events, including Seton Dance Team and the Delhi Skirt Game. Additionally, Mark enjoyed assisting in fireworks displays at Riverfest and Red, White & Blue Ash.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Linda Jacobs, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. He is also survived by his children, Andrew (Julie) and Allison, who carry forward the values he instilled in them. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Isabel and Katelyn, who brought him countless moments of joy.

He is also survived by his parents Mike and Marian Jacobs, who raised him with love and support. Mark's warmth will be dearly missed by his siblings, Steve Jacobs, Diane (Ray) Gerdes, and Dan (Jennie) Jacobs, along with his aunts and uncles, Gilbert (Kathleen) Jacobs, Marcia Andrews, Annette Kramer, Joanne and Gene Allspach and   Joan and late Dick Thiem. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.

Visitation will be held on June 5, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd. A Mass in celebration of his life will take place on June 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Hospice of Cincinnati.

Mark R. Jacobs leaves behind a legacy woven with music, love, and the spirit of community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
