Mark C. Wolter, born on May 16, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on June 21, 2025. Mark was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Having earned an Associate's Degree from Cincinnati Technical College, Mark was a dedicated and hard working employee throughout his career. He was known for being very well liked by all his fellow workers at his several places of employment. His caring personality and generous nature left a lasting impression on those around him. Mark possessed a remarkable memory, which was a real gift to family and friends.
Mark's interests reflected his appreciation for the world around him. He loved nature, finding joy in ducks, turtles and geese, and many other animals. He enjoyed collecting and sharing unusual coins and beloved books which he gifted to family and others. Additionally, he loved family history and history in general, and was a passionate aficionado of World War II and Native American History, often sharing his knowledge with others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Wolter (nee Harmeyer), and his children, Michael Wolter and Laura (Justin) Hanks. Mark was also a proud grandfather to Kolbe Hanks, with whom he shared a special bond. He is survived by his sister; Judy Novinger, brother; Gerry (Elaine) Wolter, and twin sibling; Susan (Gregory) Toth. He was uncle, great-uncle, great great-uncle and friend to many who will miss him.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eileen Wolter, and his brother-in-law, Fred Novinger. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family, who were his proudest accomplishments.
Mark's kind spirit and generous heart touched many lives, and he will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Family will greet friends on Monday, July 7th from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. William Church 4108 W. 8th Street (45205) A reception will immediately follow downstairs in Fr. Rearon Hall. His burial will be with his parents in St. Joseph New Cemetery, 4500 Foley Rd. at a later date.
