Martha A. "Pete" Frederick, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. Born on May 29, 1941, Martha lived a life enriched by her devotion to family, her passions for puzzles and travel, and her love of camping at Eagle Creek in Worthville, Kentucky. She was a compassionate and nurturing soul who cherished every moment spent with loved ones.
In addition to being a loving wife to her husband of 65 years, Claud Frederick Jr., Martha was the devoted mother to her children: Robert W. (Desheil) Frederick, Ronald W. (Renee) Frederick, and Lynn M. (Ashton) Frederick-Hawley. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lauren, Samantha, Sayre, Jayme, Layne and Jayke Frederick, and Isaac Goemaat, as well as her great grandchildren Alexys and Carter. Her relationships with her nieces and nephews were equally cherished, as she enjoyed visiting and maintaining close bonds with each of them.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents William Sr. and Emma R. Schmuelling and her siblings William Schmuelling Jr., Ruth Corcoran, Raymond Schmuelling, Grace Maltry, Alberta Rogers, Laverne Becker, and Marcella Murray. Their memories will forever stay alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
Martha took great joy in activities that brought her family together, often hosting gatherings that were filled with laughter and warmth. Her affection and love for her family was boundless, and she delighted in spending time with them, creating games and experiences that formed lasting memories.
Martha A. Frederick is remembered not only for her love of puzzles—whether they were jigsaw or crossword—but also for her radiant spirit that filled every room she entered. Her legacy of love and togetherness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Martha's life. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd., followed by a Mass at St. William Church at 10:00 AM. (the funeral mass will be livestreamed at Saint William Cincinnati-you tube) Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
