Michael P. Beck

July 24, 1959 — August 31, 2025

Cincinnati

Mike Beck, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on July 24, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mike made lasting memories that will be cherished by those who knew him.

Mike was a proud graduate of Elder High School and the University of Cincinnati - lifelong institutions that contributed to the man he became. A dedicated professional, Mike worked as a Technical Account Manager with BNY Mellon and was looking forward to his retirement next year.

Mike loved his family deeply and made them the center of his world. His greatest joy was found in the everyday moments raising children with his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy. Raising a family reflected the way he lived – investing himself fully in the lives of those he cherished most. He was a dedicated son devoted to quality time spent with his mom. Mike enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball for his boys. He taught them not just about sports but also about perseverance and the value of hard work. With his daughter, he loved crafting projects that filled their lives with creativity, patience and love. He treasured watching her dance performances, both on stage and in the living room. Mike was endlessly proud of his children and he loved watching them grow into the adults they have become. One of his greatest joys was being a grandpa, filling the last year with endless laughter, play and tender moments. As a husband, Mike loved surprising his wife with adventures – simple joys that became treasured memories.

Beyond his devotion to family, Mike’s days were filled with many hobbies that reflected his curiosity and love of life. He loved tending to his yard and enjoyed being outside. He never passed up a chance to play a round of golf. When he was not playing, some of his happiest days were spent on family trips attending professional golf tournaments. He became involved with the British Car Club in his later years. He was a true car enthusiast, a passion that developed in childhood while working on cars with his dad. He was fascinated by space exploration, loved trains and everything to do with the Field of Dreams. He would play the drums on anything along to the beat of his favorite oldies and classic rock. His creativity and thoughtfulness shone through his home improvements and building projects. Living his whole life on the west side of Cincinnati, Mike was deeply rooted in his community where lifelong connections and friendships brought him great joy.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Beck; his children, Nicole (Daniel) Willer, Chris Beck and Drew Beck; his granddaughter, Elise Willer; his mother, Carole Beck; his father-in-law John (Bobbie) Curtis, his brother, Jim (Sherry) Beck; his sister, Terri (Tom) Zimmerman; and many nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Beck, and his mother-in-law, Phyllis Curtis.
