It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred L. Wittich, lovingly known as Millie, who was born in Cincinnati on May 28, 1934, and peacefully departed this life on June 4, 2026 surrounded by her family. Millie was a woman of remarkable spirit – funny, gracious, loving, kind, and a pure soul whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Millie's life was a tapestry woven with cherished moments. She held dear the joy of celebrating holidays, finding happiness in togetherness and celebration. Her hobbies reflected her nurturing nature and lively mind—she delighted in playing cards, baking her famous chocolate chip cookies and buckeyes, solving puzzles, being with her grandchildren. These simple loves spoke volumes about the generous heart she carried.
A proud graduate of the Seton High School class of 1952, Millie’s proudest accomplishment was her family. She was the beloved wife of Albert "Bert" Wittich, to whom she was married for 71 years—a testament to enduring love and partnership. Millie was a devoted mother, whose nurturing extended beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her loving children: Albert (Tammi) Wittich, Kay (Bernie) Rapien, Alan Wittich, Jeff (Missy) Wittich, Dan Wittich, and Connie (Raymond) Kaeser. She also leaves behind treasured grandchildren: Brad (Stephanie), Albert "AJ," Christy (Dave), Michael, Brian, Mark (Mallory), Amy, Josh, Alivia, Megan (Tyler), Brent, Taylor, Alexis, and Grant; as well as great-grandchildren Ben, Sam, Katelyn, Daniel, Morgan, Aubrey, Jaylah, Jonovan, Courtney, Natalie, Brendan, Kylee, Austin, Brody, and Cheryl. Millie's family circle included her brother, Art Lipps, and numerous nieces and nephews who were fortunate to be touched by her kindness.
Her legacy is also marked by those she loved and lost, including her daughter Nancy (Kevin) Adams; her parents Anton and Clara Lipps, whose love laid the foundation for her character; her dear husband Bert; and her siblings Leonard Lipps, Dorothy Menninger, Paul Lipps, Lawrence "Larry" Lipps, Raymond "Chick" Lipps, Estelle Brockmeyer, Clemens Lipps, Viola "Ollie" Wittich, James Lipps, and Carol McGinnis. She was also the grandmother of Beth Wittich, whose memory remains treasured.
Visitation will be held on June 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. A Mass celebrating Millie's life will follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, 810 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233. The interment will take place immediately after at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery.
Millie’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, laughter, and quiet strength. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will live on through the families she so deeply loved. She will be greatly missed and forever treasured.
Memorials may be made to The Beth Brauntz-Wittich Art Fund, 3901 Glenway Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45205.
