Richard George Wagner, born on September 13, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025 with his wife at his side.

Richard devoted a significant portion of his life to his career as a local and over the road truck driver, where he earned a reputation for reliability and professionalism. His work allowed him to traverse the country, leading to many fascinating journeys and stories that he loved to share.

A proud veteran, Richard served in the United States Army, a service that shaped his character and instilled in him a commitment to his country. His experiences during this time contributed to the strong and good-natured person he would become, known for his kindness and generosity.

Richard was married to Kathleen Wagner for an impressive 57 years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Throughout their years together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and shared experiences. Kathleen will forever hold the cherished memories of their time together close to her heart.

In addition to his dedication to family and work, Richard had a passion for music. He loved to play the guitar and sing along, a pastime that often brought joy to those around him. His love for music showcased his warm spirit and ability to bring people together. Furthermore, he enjoyed taking scenic drives, exploring the beauty of the world alongside Kathleen.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Wagner, and his stepsister, Patty McGuffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Robert Wagner, his brother, Robert Wagner Jr., and his stepbrother, Fred Sweeney.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
