Robert G. "Bob" Bacon, a beloved father, grandfather, and devoted family man, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2026. Born on September 9, 1937, Bob’s life was marked by his unwavering love for his family and his deep commitment to his community.

Bob was a proud graduate of Elder High School, an early accomplishment that grounded his lifelong dedication to family and faith. He worked diligently for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati before taking the reins of his family’s painting business, where he continued a tradition of hard work and excellence. Known for his warmth and jovial spirit, Bob cherished spending time with his loved ones, finding joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, bowling, and pitching horseshoes.

His affectionate nickname for his siblings—“in-laws/outlaws”—reflected the close and spirited relationships he maintained with Ed, Margaret, Walter, Jean, Jane, Donald, Larry, and Betty. Bob was also a cherished uncle, deeply engaged with his many nieces and nephews, each one holding a special place in his heart.

Bob’s legacy continues through his children Robert (Donna) Bacon Jr., Gregory Bacon, Julie (Mick) Hartmann, Jeffery Bacon, and Mary “Cookie” (Jeff) Hartman; his stepchildren Kathryn (Rob) Duncan and Sam Winterhalter; and the memory of his stepchild Jimmy Winterhalter. His family further expanded with grandchildren Carrie (Anthony), Emily (Matt), Bobby (Hannah), Allie, Sarah (Troy), Maria, Gideon (Amanda), Gloria (Robbie), Joe, Johnny, Emma, Nick, Therese, and Grayson, along with step-grandchildren Seth, Erika (Chris), Cody (Kim), and Kayla (Michael). His great-grandchildren Elijah, Samuel, Micah, Valerie, Noelle, Audriauna, Ricky, Addison, Owen, and Arthur will carry forward his spirit and values.

Bob’s marriage to Loretta Saupe Bacon spanned 24 years, during which they raised five children together, he later married Kathryn and they spent over 30 years together until she passed away in 2024.
