Robert L. Ilg, a steadfast pillar of devotion to family and community, passed away on March 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, dedication, and a life well-lived. Born on July 13, 1957, in the vibrant city of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob's journey was one that intertwined the richness of his roots with an expansive horizon of accomplishment and heartfelt connections.

A proud graduate of Oak Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati, Robert’s formative years were grounded in the values of perseverance and intellect, which he carried with grace throughout his life. His professional tenure with the Auto Title Clerk of Courts was characterized by integrity and a commitment to service, reflecting the meticulous and caring nature that those close to him cherished.

Yet, it was within the embrace of his family that Robert found his truest joys and proudest achievements. As husband of Donna Ilg for 43 years, his partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Together, they nurtured a family rich in warmth and camaraderie, with Robert at the heart as the devoted father to Brian (Betty) Ilg and Joe (Stephanie) Ilg. His role as grandfather to Junie, Amina, Piper, Paxton, Draven, and Lorraine brought unparalleled delight, each grandchild a living testament to the legacy of kindness and encouragement he instilled.

The tapestry of Robert’s life was beautifully interwoven with cherished memories—trips to Hilton Head that echoed with laughter and discovery, spirited attendance at countless sporting events fuelled by both passion and pride, and the simple yet profound joy of family dinners that spoke volumes of his dedication to togetherness. His enthusiasm for coaching his children and his active involvement with the Delhi Athletic Association underscored a life committed not only to personal achievement but to fostering growth and camaraderie in others.

Robert was also a beloved brother to Dan (Mary Kay) Ilg and brother-in-law to Ron (Kim) Moulden, as well as a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, whose lives were enriched by his presence and who mourn his passing deeply. The memory of his parents, Dan and Joy Ilg, who preceded him in death, remained a guiding light throughout his years.

As the community and family gather to remember Robert L. Ilg, they celebrate a man whose proudest accomplishment was unequivocally his family. His legacy endures in the laughter of his grandchildren, the strength of his children, and the steadfast love of his wife. In honoring him, we remember a life filled with purpose, affection, and an indelible imprint on every soul fortunate enough to cross his path. His is a memory that will be dear forevermore.
