Robin A. Schmitz, a very loving mother and daughter, born on May 3, 1961, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. She is remembered as a fun-loving spirited individual, whose warmth and creativity touched the lives of many.
Robin's zest for life was evident in her passions, which included traveling and spending time at the beach. She was a dedicated member of the Powder Keg HOG chapter and brought joy to her friends and family with her lively sense of humor and goofball nature. Known for her creative talents, she had a knack for decorating and was always eager to capture memories through her photography, serving as everyone's personal photographer, AKA the "Selfie Queen" at family gatherings and events. Robin also cherished moments spent watching her father play hockey, a time that showcased her love and support for her family. She loved watching hummingbirds from her home with a view of the river.
She leaves behind her beloved children, twins Morgan (Ryan) Shoemaker and Megan Schmitz, and Mindy Schmitz. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Bryor, Brantleigh, Johannah, and Charlotte, who will carry her spirit forward. Robin is also survived by her parents, Gilbert and Sharon Nolan, and her siblings, Patrick and Kelly Nolan, along with her fiancé, Russ McGarrity. She also loved her dog Reese.
A visitation to honor Robin’s life will take place on February 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd. Cincinnati, Oh 45238. If desired, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. She will be cremated following services.
Robin A. Schmitz will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
