Shirley Rose Tritschler-Oster, born on April 6, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose life was marked by her deep love for family, creativity, and faith.
Shirley was the cherished mother of Shirley (Art) Neal, John (Karen) Tritschler, Thomas (Kathy) Tritschler and step-mother of Sandra (Ken) Busch. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, April Hampton, Annette Hampton, Theresa (Paul) Brockert, Sheila (Whit) Gulley, Jonathan (Alison) Tritschler, Julie Tritschler, Megan (Jared) Niehauser, Jacob (Tina) Lipps, and Joshua (Caitlyn) Lipps. She was also a proud great grandmother to Naomi, Robbie, Michael, Caleb, Owen, James, Theo, and Thomas.
In addition to her immediate family, Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Helen Lowe, and her husbands, Frank Tritschler and James Oster. She also missed her grandchildren Dennis Hampton and great grandson James Hampton deeply.
Shirley's passion for life was apparent in her many interests. A talented painter and craft enthusiast, she found joy in card making and had a gift for baking, particularly delicious fruit cakes. She deeply cherished creating memories with her family through holidays and vacations across the country, as well as camping adventures.
Above all, Shirley held her family as her proudest accomplishment and took immense pride in her artwork. Her faith and dedication were evident in her connection with her church family at Anderson Ferry Church of Christ, where she found both fellowship and strength.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Anderson Ferry Church of Christ, located at 380 Greenwell Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238, starting at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. The interment will take place afterward at St. Joseph New Cemetery, located at 4500 Foley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238.
Shirley Rose Tritschler-Oster's warm spirit and loving nature have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
