William L. Timmer, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 18, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 67. Born on March 21, 1958, in Hamilton, Ohio, Will lived his life with an easygoing nature, an unwavering patience, and a fun-loving spirit that touched all who knew him.
He was a proud graduate of Hamilton High School and the University of Cincinnati, where his intelligence shone brightly. Following his education, Will honorably served in the United States Navy. During his time in the military, he had the distinction of serving aboard the USS Saratoga and the USS Tulare, experiences that shaped his character and contributed to his proudest accomplishments: his love for his wife, Suzette Timmer (née Brucato), and dedication to serving his country.
Will’s professional life was marked by his role as a Poker Room Supervisor at the Hard Rock Casino, where he was known for his keen insight and hard-headed determination. His colleagues admired not only his work ethic but also the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
Outside of work, Will pursued several hobbies, including bowling, where he achieved the remarkable feat of bowling a 299 game. This achievement was a testament to his dedication and passion. Additionally, he enjoyed gardening and photography capturing moments that would bring joy to those he loved.
A cherished member of the Cincinnati Beard Barrons, Will traveled on weekends to participate in facial hair competitions, where his charismatic personality truly came to life. He created countless memories with friends and fellow competitors, all of whom hold him dear in their hearts.
Will is survived by his loving wife, Suzette; his mother, Josephine Timmer; siblings David (Dawana) Timmer, Kitty (Dan) Vanderpool, Becky (Dan) Kreynest, and Michelle (Steve) Ittner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Mindy Bentley, Mark (Lindsey) Timmer, Aimee (Brent) Hoins, Ben Vanderpool, Amber (Cully) Reiff, Kevin Ulm and great nephews and nieces Aiden Reiff, Matthew Bentley, Sophia Medel-Ulm, Jose Medel-Ulm, Adriana Medel-Ulm, Christian Medel-Ulm, Julian Medel-Ulm, Aiden Timmer and Autumn Hoins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Timmer, and his nephew, Thomas Richardson. The loss of Will leaves a profound void in the lives of his family and friends, who will forever remember his kind heart, warmth, and the joyous moments they shared together. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be at the Vitt, Stermer & Andersson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Ave. Thursday, July 10th from 10 A.M. until time of funeral blessing at 11:30 A.M.
