Betty Humprhreys Obituary

Betty Lou (Russell) Humphreys was born July 21st,1939 in Ellisburg, Kentucky. She was the youngest of five brothers and one sister. After she graduated from Danville High School she moved to Dayton, OH and met her husband at a dance at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She became a secretary for DBS Dignan and climbed the ladder to become an accountant officer of the company. Betty was married to Charles Ashby Humphreys and they had one daughter Cathy (Troy) Wilson and one granddaughter Amber (Travis) Feltner. She was also the great-grandmother of many, Mackenzie, Caitlyn, Olivia, Sara , Chase, Isabella, Luke and Ariel and one Angel baby waiting for her in heaven Baby Eden. She loved her grandchildren fiercely and before her illness of Alzheimer’s got bad she spent most of her time spoiling and loving all of the babies and rocking them safely in her arms. If Nana was around there wasn’t a chance that she wasn’t singing Snuggle Puppy to them or rocking the children while she sang lullaby’s. She loved to reminisce of roller skating followed by going to the diners in the 50’s with her teen friends, she made the 50’s sound magical when she said how much she loved to  have a fountain soda or a milkshake and just have pure blissful fun. She was a storyteller and loved to hum and sing all of the time. She had a sense of style and modeled her famous gold sneakers and loved getting compliments from admirers and family alike. I can only imagine the joy of those waiting for her at the glorious gates of Heaven.
