Beloved husband of 47 years to Mary Meiners (nee Rosen), loving father of Margie (Brian) Metz, Tina (Andy) Videkovich, Katie (Anthony) Clark and the late infant Andrew Meiners, dear grandfather of Moira, Aidan, Austin, Eli, Ethan and the late infant Katrina, brother of Elaine (Ray) Westrich, Rick (Jenny) Meiners and the late Louis P. (Libby) Meiners and brother-in-law of Ralph (Rose Marie) Rosen, Joan (Ed) Berning, Roger (Karen) Rosen, Joe (Kathy) Rosen and the late Paul (Anna Lee) Rosen, beloved son of the late Louis and Esther Meiners, dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Dan was a hard-worker as a baker, kitchen designer, and butcher at his brother’s business, Meiners Meats. A true nature lover and hiker, he enjoyed moments shared with wife, Mary and daughters, Margie, Tina, and Katie and families, in the Great Smoky Mountains and local parks. He was the baker of family birthday cakes, wedding cakes, biscuits, Christmas cookies and apple pies. Dan was a gardener and loved viewing the yard from his deck at his simple Delhi home.  He loved family chicken dinner get-togethers. He talked about his Grandkids, the “boys and Moi”. “Isn’t it Wonderful.” He passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. Age 71. Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Pike from 5-8P. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 27th at Our Lady of Victory Church at 11AM. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Food Pantry or Vitas Hospice. www.vittstermeranderson.com
