George H. Johnston, Sr. (1937-2018), died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 laying next to his youngest son. George was a hardworking, tireless and selfless man. He is survived by his three children George (Dawn), John (Amy) and Angela (Sean); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. George proudly served his country during his time in the Navy and dedicated many more years to his community as a City of Cincinnati firefighter for over 25 years as well as a member of the Cheviot Masonic Lodge #140 F& AM. He was committed to his family and a beloved husband to his wife, Kay (deceased 2012), of 53 years that he was reunited with early Saturday morning. A traditional man, George was happiest surrounded by his family, tending to his garden or walking along the ocean. In honor of his memory and wishes, there will be no service. Memorials may be made in his name to Delhi Veteran's Association.
