George "Dan" Daniel Wolterman

George Daniel (Dan) Wolterman, 
age 87, passed away April 1, 2023 at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of the late Joan (nee Bolser) Wolterman who passed in 1968 and beloved husband of 53 years to Mary C. (nee Kirk) Wolterman. Loving father of Debi (Terry Brown) Wolterman, Dan (Lori) Wolterman, Karen (Jon) Van Zile, Ken Wolterman, Sandie (Greg) Lange, Nancy (Cliff) Johnson, Laura (Jim) Marx, Robert (Cheri) Wolterman, and the late Cathy (surviving husband Brent and his wife Laura) Coop. His biggest joy were his 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was loved by his siblings Richard (Kay Stevens) Wolterman and the late Joan Loughran. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Dan graduated class of 1953 from Roger Bacon and worked over 25 years for the University of Cincinnati. He lived a full and wonderful life focused on sharing his time and talents with family and friends. If he wasn’t coaching his children and grandchildren in multiple sports, you could find him coaching neighborhood children in his back yard or at an area high school. He enjoyed a good cigar on his porch as he listened to his favorite Cincinnati teams and he never missed an opportunity to play golf. His humor will be missed along with his contagious laugh and generosity to so many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. William Church, 4108 W. Eighth Street, Cincinnati, OH 45205 on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10 AM. Family will greet friends at church prior to mass from 9-10 AM. Burial of his remains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
