Joyce was born in Stringtown, Ohio in 1943 to Chester and Anna (nee Williams) Fletcher. She was born into a large family of twelve. In the early 1960’s, she met and married Thomas White, the love of her life. They settled in Cincinnati, Ohio where she raised her children. Joyce’s life was filled with compassion and love of service for others. So, in the early 1980’s she went back to school and studied to become a STNA and certified nurse’s aide (CNA), finishing off her career as a physical therapy restorative aide. She loved her work and carried it with her throughout her life. She was an avid reader of Tom Clancy novels, a traveler, formidable and daring canasta card player (always a must on family vacations), and avid bowler. Later in life, she loved taking outings with her sisters to the Casino.
In lieu of a memorial service, we want to celebrate her life and all she gave back to her community and family. A “Celebration of Life” is scheduled for Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Glen Carder Lodge located in Delhi Park, 5125 Foley Road from 1:00 PM to 5:00PM. More details to follow closer to the event.
