December 29, 1937 ~ October 23, 2023 (age 85) 85 Years Old
HUGHETT, Mack C, age 85, passed away at his home on Monday, October 23, 2023 surrounded by his family. Mack was born December 29, 1937 in Robbins, TN. He was the son of Charlie and Grace Hughett. Mack married Charlene on February 18, 1978. Mack is survived by his wife Charlene and his three stepsons: Craig (Lynne) Forrester, Barry (Linda) Forrester and Mark (Sue) Forrester, his sister and her husband Brenda and Marty Shoemaker, his brother-in-law Joe Snader, sister-in-law Barb Hughett, daughter Teffanie Hughett, and grandchildren and step grandchildren Kris (Ally), Kelly (John), Elizabeth (Jack), Jacob (Chelsea), Andrew, Terry (Casey), Mark (Katie) Vanwitzenburg; step-great Grandchildren Zoey, Ella, Lily, Judah, Nate, Kyle, Ben, Jaxson, Liviah, Juliana, Addalee, Asher, Evan, Andy, Ally, Brynn, and Parker. Mack leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Grace Hughett, daughter Pam Redmon, grandchild Mathew (Melody) Vanwitzenburg, step grandchild Jamie (Molly) Becker, John Becker, brothers Charles Ray Hughett and Russell J. Hughett; sisters and brother-in-laws Juanell (Mason) Foster, Novella (Arlie) Overton, Marcella Snader, Joyce Register, Faye (Bill) Baird, Louella (Tom) Carlton, and Charlotte Brummett. Mack was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Independence aircraft carrier.
Visitation, services, and meal will be held on Saturday November 18, 2023 at New Hope Community Church: 3707 Edgewood Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Visitation will be from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Service will begin at 3:30pm. Immediately after service, friends and family are invited to enjoy a meal and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org).
