Mark E. Steinriede

August 23, 1952 ~ December 24, 2020 (age 68)

Mark Edward Steinriede, 68 of Cincinnati, passed away December 24, 2020. Beloved husband of 30 years of Catherine Jane (Felix) Steinriede and loving father of Clayton Edward Steinriede.  Son of the late Edwin G. and Rita G. Steinriede.  He will be sorely missed by other family members and friends.  A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the St. Xavier High School Scholarship Fund, 600 W. North Bend Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.
Mark was a long-time resident of Delhi.  He grew up playing little league baseball and enjoyed swimming for Delhi Swim Club.  He was a proud graduate of Oak Hills High School, where he excelled in both swimming and tennis.
As an adult, Mark was a professional racquetball player.  He played in several national tournaments.
Mark loved to sell and was an excellent car salesman as evidenced by his winning a GM Mark of Excellence award.
A lifelong competitor, Mark loved playing Fantasy sports.  He also competed at cards, checkers, chess and Fun Trivia. In his spare time, he loved the ocean, cooking and writing poetry.  He enjoyed old movies and old television shows.  He was trained as a weather spotter.  Along with weather, he followed astronomy.  He never missed a good meteor shower.
After Mark retired, he returned to Mount St. Joseph University to get his Bachelor of Arts degree.  While attending, he was inducted in Alpha Chi, a national college honor society and published several of his poems in the student’s literary collection, Lions On Line.
Mark had a huge heart.  He cared deeply for his family and took great care of them.
1952-2020: He lived the dash between the years to its fullest.
Too fast and too soon.
