Mary A. "Cookie" Ryan

Mary A. "Cookie" Ryan (nee Noonan) passed away December 29, 2020 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her beloved and devoted husband James J. "Jim" Ryan of 63 years. Loving mother of Kevin (Vivian) Ryan, Timothy Ryan, Nora Spencer and Daniel (Allison) Ryan, caring mother-in-law of Nancy Ryan, and cherished grandmother of Christopher, Emily, Cassidy, Blair, Rebecca, Frank, Cindy and Jessica. Devoted sister of John and Robert Noonan. She was preceded in death by brother Robert Noonan and son-in-law Richard “Dick” Spencer. Cookie was a lifelong lover of music and theater, longtime contributor of “Broadway Bouquets” and always ready to dance to an Irish tune. With lipstick and pearls firmly in place, Cookie loved a good party and was always ready to greet friends and family with her trademark smile. But above all else, her family provided her the great joy of her life and her kids feel blessed to have had her as a mother. The family will miss her sweet kindness, joyous laugh, and loving heart, but are comforted that she will be reunited with her cherished husband Jim. The family is especially grateful to the wonderful staff at Bayley and Hospice of Cincinnati whose love and attention made her last years as comfortable and joyous as possible. Due to pandemic restrictions, the mass of Christian burial will be private, but the family plans a celebration of her life at a later date.
