Michele Grace

Michele Grace, loving mother of Julia (Ben Hodgson) Grace, beloved grandmother of Pierce Hodgson, loving daughter of Colleen and the late Michael Grace, dear sister of Leslie (Joe) Ruhe, Aunt Chel to Carter and McKinley Ruhe, niece of Kathleen Brackett, Cherie Isaacs and Shirley Pizzo, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 46.
Michele attended Our Lady of Victory for grade school and graduated from Oak Hills High School, class of 1991. She had a passion for learning, which was evidenced by her earning a BA from the University of Cincinnati, an RN from Christ Hospital School of Nursing and two master's degrees (an MBA and an MSN from Xavier University). She also taught several nursing classes throughout her career. While working in the Neuro ICU at UC Medical Center, she was awarded the prestigious DAISY Award.
She loved being on the sidelines of her daughter's sports throughout the years and enjoyed spending time with her and her daughter's friends. As she was working full time, she was also a part time nanny for her nephew and niece, whom she loved like her own. Michele shared her love of the Bengals with her dad. When her television wasn't set to TLC (The Learning Channel), you could find her watching the Bengals, or Bearcat basketball or football.
Michele moved to Seattle five years ago to continue her nursing career and was greatly missed during that time. However, we are so grateful she was able to be home for her grandson's 3rd birthday and to spend one last Christmas with all of us this past year. She was so excited to come home and was very appreciative of the friends and previous co-workers who took time to visit her during her recent hospitalization.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Pike from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 2nd at 11:00A.M at Our Lady of Victory Church.
