Patricia Jane Janzen

Patricia Jane Janzen, beloved mom, grandma, and friend, entered God's kingdom peacefully on August 19,2021 at age 81. Jane was born to Stanley and Hazel Farnsworth on December 2, 1939 in Regina, Saskatchewan and met her husband Murray Janzen on a blind date New Year's Eve 1958. They married two years later and went on to have three children: David Janzen, Karen (Bobby) Emig, and Katherine (Mark) Raffenberg. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Ann (Darwin) Harrison and is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Jamie (Alex), Craig, Ian, Nikki, Erin, Megan, Oceanne, Sierra, and Alyssun. Jane and her family were privileged to have the opportunity to live in Lima, Peru and Caracas, Venezuela while Murray worked for Procter and Gamble. She went on mission trips to Nicaragua, was a lifelong choir member at Northminster Presbyterian Church, and worked as the Assistant to the Director for the Friends of SCPA (School for Creative and Performing Arts) in Cincinnati for a few years. She was an amazing game-player, puzzle doer, and Jeopardy aficionado. Jane was blessed to be part of The Cincinnati Connection, a group of 6 couples who got together as often as they could. She also found love again after Murray passed away in 2012. Gordon Jewett became more than a friend in 2019, and they have been partners in life since that time. Her children are so very grateful for his constant optimism and love for their mom. The family would also like to say a special thank you to Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice and all Jane's caregivers from Homewell, who ended up adoring her, even in the short time they had with her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45231 on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00am (Visitation with the family at 10am), followed by a luncheon at the church; all are welcome.
