Patricia A. Reuss
(nee Kroth) beloved wife of the late Donald J. "Red" Reuss, loving mother of Lisa (Mark) Bader, Lynda (Rick) Rinear, Don (Denny) Reuss, Leslie Burke and Lori Reuss, and "adopted" daughters; Kelly Newman and Lori Seitzer, grandmother of Nichole (Jason), Nicholas (Carrie), Eric (Amanda), Kevin, Chrissy, Craig (Megan), Don "DJ" and Kelsey, great grandmother of Hunter, Aiden, Lily, Sammi, Mason, Cameron, Emmie, Christian and Beau, sister of Thomas (Patricia) Kroth and Paul (late-Patricia) Kroth, many nieces and nephews.
Pat grew up in the West End of Cincinnati, where she attended Our Lady of Mercy High School. In 1951 she married her childhood sweetheart, Donald (Red) Reuss, while he was home on leave from the Korean War. In 1993, after 42 years of marriage, she lost her lifelong love and best friend to mesothelioma. Strong, independent, fiery, and a living example of love, she was a nurturing caregiver to her husband, children, and grandchildren as well as her mother and elderly aunt. Pat was kind and always thinking of others. An incredible cook, she was known for her big Sunday family dinners, and hosted holiday gatherings until the time her health began to fail. She was a talented artist, crafter, and lover of animals. Pat was a loyal and lifelong fan of “her” Cincinnati Reds, and five of her birthdays were celebrated with family and friends at Reds’ games. Her quick wit and sense of humor continued until the end of her life. Pat will be very sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who love her.
