Bob was a quiet, unassuming man of integrity who was a friend to anyone who knew Him. He had a kindness, quick wit and loved a good prank or practical joke. Born and raised in Cincinnati, student and band member at Western Hills High School, he entered the army in 1952 and was a company clerk during the Korean War.
He met and married Lois, the love of his life and after marrying in 1958 they had 5 children. From that moment on, family became his focus. He grew prolific gardens, loved the outdoors, began family camping to many exciting and beautiful places around the country, including joining the Campmates where the family made many lifelong friends. After retiring from his housing inspector position with the City of Cincinnati in 1992, he and Lois traveled the US and visited places they'd always wanted to see when they weren't spending time with the family. Despite his failing eyesight, Bob never lost his optimism, humor or smile, and never turned down a change to spend time with his children and grandchildren and their families. Special thanks to wonderful staff at Bayley Place, who held a special place in his heart.
