Vera Staiger (nee Girten)

Beloved wife of the late Russell Staiger, loving mother of Nancy (Chuck) Gumz and Stan (Laurie) Staiger, dear grandmother of Eric Staiger, Amy Staiger, J.D. (Holly) Davis, Justin (Amanda) Davis, Jacqueline Portello, adoring great-grandmother of Isaiha, Peyton, Grady and Elise Davis, dear sister of Virginia Gourley. Passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Age 91. 

Born 3/13/29 in Cincinnati, Vera was the first of 2 children to Orville & Gladys Girten.  She married her soul-mate, Russell Staiger June 17, 1950 and had 2 children.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother always wearing a smile and seeing the positive side to everything in life.

Vera loved music, playing both the accordion and piano. She was a life-long active member of the Anderson Ferry Church of Christ and will be remembered for her thoughtful letter writing, card sending, and friendly caring spirit.

Vera and Russ enjoyed their twilight years by spending winters in Orlando Florida and summers in Cincinnati to be close to their children, grandchildren, and countless friends and family. She’s now happily reunited with him in heaven.
