William "Bill" beloved husband of the late Ruth Scharff (nee Niemeyer), dear companion of Dodie Miele, loving father of Barbara Scharff, Mark Scharff, Daniel (Debbie) Scharff, Michael (Anne) Scharff and Patti (Chris) Mercurio, dear grandfather of Megan, Kelli, Erin, Allison and unofficial "cookie" grandpa to many, brother of Jim (late Mary Ann) Scharff and the late Richard (Rena) Scharff, uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus Mother Seton Council #3376, the World's Greatest Fisherman and highly spirited Euchre player. His care and kindness spoiled many. Friday, May 27, 2016, age 81. Visitation Friday 5-8 PM at the Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd. Funeral Mass Saturday 10 AM at St. Dominic Church.
